Educational Qualifications: The Educational Qualifications for Generalist and Specialist Cadres is given as under:
For General Officers: Graduate in any stream for a recognised University of India with 55 % marks
Specialist Officers: Specialist Officers are required for the disciplines such as Engineering, Health, Finance, Actuarial, Legal, Investigator.These posts are divided and allotted groups Such as A1 and A2 for Engineering; B1,B2,B3 for Health; C for Finance; D for Actuarial, E for legal and F for Investigator.The Qualifications of all these groups is given below:
- Group G (generalist): should be a graduate (any discipline)
- Group A1 (engineering): BE/ Btech degree in automobile engineering or Mech.(with PG diploma in auto.engg)
- Group A2 : BE/ Btech in Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Chemical engg.
- Group B1 (health): To have completed MBBS
- Group B2: those with BAMS degree are eligible
- Group B3: must have passed BHMS degree
- Group C(finance): posses CA/ M.Com /B.Com with MBA (finance)
- Group D (actuarial): Graduation in Stats/ Maths/ Actuarial science
- Group E (legal): should be a graduate in law
