As Predicted by us in our previous post on SBI Clerk Recruitment 2012 regarding the dates for SBI Clerical Notification 2012, Today i.e on 27th December,2011, State bank of India has announced its Special Recruitment Project-2012 for the selection of Candidates under SC/ST and OBC candidates.Since the recruitment drive is for SC/ST and OBC, so general category candidates need not apply for this post.

SBI Special Recruitment Drive 2012 for SC/ST and OBC Candidates


Online Applications are invited from Indian Citizens who belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.Before applying Online for SBI Special Recruitment Derive 2012,Candidates must under go the following details and read the complete advertisement given at the end of this page.

Pay- Scale: 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/
1-19300

Number of Vacancies: 2500 (SC-1150,ST-750, OBC-600 )

Eligibility Criteria: Interested candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC classes before applying must satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria.

Nationality:  Must be an Indian Citizen

Age Limit: Min : 18 years and Max: 28 years (As on 01.12.2011) (Relaxation in Age as per Govt. Rules)

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must possess the following educational qualifications to be eligible for SBI Special Recruitment Derive for SC/ST and OBC candidates

12th Standard Pass with 60 % marks for OBC candidates and 55 % marks for (SC/ST) candidates.
OR
A Bachelor (Graduate) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University of India.

Ability to Speak and Write English Language is must and Knowledge of Local Language is an added qualification

Application Fees: A Non-Refundable Application fee of Rs 50 (For SC/ST) and Rs 300 (For OBC) candidates will have to be paid either By Offline Payment Option (Through Challan Form) in SBI Branches all over the country OR By Online Method (Through Net Banking, Debit Card etc).

Selection Procedure: SBI will select candidates for the post of Clerks on the basis of their problems in the written test and Interview (Collectively).The Written test will be objective in nature and candidates are shortlisted for Interview based on their performance in the written test.The Short Listed candidates will be called for the Interview and final merit will be prepared by combing the mark secured in the Written test an well as Interview.

Procedure for Applying: Int rested Candidates must apply Online at the SBI Official Website (www.sbi.co.in). Date for Payment of Application Fees: 30.12.2011 to 25.01.2012

Date for Submission of Online Applications: 28.12.2011 to 20.01.2012

Date of Written Exam: 18th March, 2012
